Description
After working on and off for over a year, I finally finished Warphammer's commission.
This will be my last commission done only in colored pencils, due to the time it takes and the risk of burnout (I started this before I got my Prisma markers, which take far less time and hassle to color images). Warp's char is a broadwing hawk; the dragon is just a special symbol to him, which I added in an egg-shaped, yin-yang pose. Please don't tell me that I messed-up on the hawk's markings, his anatomy or the jessies, or that the background looks flat and undetailed, because this pic is supposed to be stylized and not perfectly true-to-life. (I wanted the contrast of detailed characters set against a simple background.) Anyway, I deeply appreciate how patient and kind Warp has been while waiting for this, and I hope he likes how it turned out. 
(BTW, the colors are MUCH more vivid IRL, the details more clear, and the original is quite large--at least for my usual work.)Detail shot: [link]

Um ... was wondering. How do you make the colored pencil so smooth withing tiny details? I'm working on a picture of an anthro dragon character dressed as Krishna, and I'd love to color it - but I really don't know how to color without messing up. If you have time, could you give me a couple brief pointers? This picture is ... just so amazing, I really wouldn't even know where to start applauding it.

Absolutely gorgeous...colored pencils? I could have sworn that background was watercolor. Your detail, especially on the broadwing, is absolutely amazing. I've worked with a broadwing before, and they have quite the personality, aside from being gorgeous birds. I rather like the stylistic design of the jesses. Beautiful.

That. Is. Colored Pencil. @_O ????? Good heavens, woman, that's astounding. What kind of surface did you work on, and how did you blend?
This is the first time I've seen an image where the border is the focus, and the internal element is secondary, and I think it's really effective. The detailling on the figures is gorgeous, especially the banding of the feathers on the avian. I'm just looking at it, tilting my head to the side in amazement. The coloring on the dragon is really appealling to me, and I hate pink, so I don't know how you pulled that off. If I were you, I would be so proud of this. Definitely.

You made such a beautiful round with Warp's pose, and despite the broken-up contours of the dragon, the off-oval egg shape of the entire composition comes out crystal clear. You have an iron grip on your borders, lady!
