Description More pony fanart (you saw this coming, right??) It won't be the last of it either. I just had to draw Lunacorn (my OC) with Fluttershy too, because she's my absolute fave from the show, and also because I have pretty much the same personality, fears and quirks as Fluttershy does. Here Luna and 'Shy are being introduced to each others' "pets", with Angel Bunny begrudgingly shaking Luna's hoof (after much convincing), and Actias (Luna's pet moth), flying straight over to greet Fluttershy's cutie mark rather than 'Shy herself, much to her amusement.

Btw, will be selling prints and the original of this at Coscon as well as the original of "Luna Amicitia" , if anyone is interested.

Note: Fluttershy & Angel Bunny are © HASBRO and , and both chars are done in my own version of the FiM style, so my apologies if they don't look exactly as they do on the show.

Thank you! It's artist markers with colored pencils over that, and a little digital editing (smoothing in spots).

I love the coloring I usually can tell how people colored, but this confuses me It's so smooth for traditional! Is it marker? Colored pencils?

Thank you! <3 It's mostly artist markers (Prisma/Tria) with colored pencils over that, and a bit of digital editing (smudge tool used in some places where the coloring was a bit "grainy").

Hah... it looks exactly like a Kirin to me - sorry. They are Deer Unicorns basically and they have those long tails like that. Sorry for the mixup.

No problem; I know kirins are very deer-like with tufted tails, curved horns and fur fringes (all similar to Luna), but they generally have scales as well.

Yeah, they do most of the time, but their general appearance is a deer that's all tufty. I guess I was thinking it was an artistic interpretation you know? Maybe they don't develop scales until they mature? I'm an artist too, afterall so I have a lot of imagination also

Yep, the deer-like appearance seems to be something they almost all share (though I have seen a few ox-like kirins). Old-style (medieval) unicorns were also very cervine, like the ones here: It's really only modern-day unicorns that tend look fully horse-like (with horse hooves and tails), from what I can tell. And no worries; you didn't offend! I love kirins too! <3

yay <--- Unicorn enthusiast myself! I lived in japan for a year, too which is why the Kirin was first to mind! I've seen some of the older unicorns too with deer and goat features... though I prefer horse styles myself! lol. Cannot believe there is a whole group dedicated to them though! I guess it's a wide world out there on DA.


Anyway, It's nice chatting up with fellow artists and I'm glad we could!

This has to be one of the best renditions of Fluttershy I have seen! It's both reminiscent of the G1 ponies, but has the touch of your unique style- Your hair patterns remind me of the very old medieval drawing styles!
