Possibly my favorite bike I have seen on DA... My only dislike about it is the seat... I can imagine that thing may get... uncomfortable...
Anyways, great photo. Love the bike, and love the shadows
Cheers!

Certainly original. I've got an '81 CB900f with the inline 4 and 4 into one headers. Got it running, gonna need rings, got rid of the rest of the pipe, and trashed the airbox for pod filters. Once I got it running right, I'm strippin' it down, getting rid of the swingarm and hopefully gonna do a jockey shift setup. It'll be my first build. The 750's and 900 inline 4's really get goin'. That one in the pic is definately an oddball, at least it aint stock and there aint no billet, woo hoo.

Looks like a hillclimb bike, and Line-of-Birds's post confirms this. Also, some hillclimbs only allow brakes on one wheel; this builder chose the rear wheel.
But the front forks look strange... Are they telescopics, leading-links, or just... rigid?

I don't think he will be doing much hill climbing with that set of tires, if you go back to Line of Birds post you well find out she was talking about snow machines / snowmobiles that were built for hill climbs that were just as much of a crazy desing as this one is. The front forks are rigid..

I'm sure thats why he did the tractor seat, to keep his ass from sliding back....lol

This is my brother's bike I swear...
Not really, but this is the kind of machine he rides... I wish I had a picture of his snowmachine, he called it the Scab. It sported a belt housing made out of a cut open 5 gallon bucket, but it out did any of his friends' spiffy brand new machines that were designed for the hillclimbing contests they held...
He's quite the creative problem solver, he and my Dad built many mechanical marvels...
