Sin duda... prefiero mil veces un personaje aislado que acompañado de un fondo, aunque esto último quede mucho mejor.
Me ha pasado alguna vez que un fondo poco vistoso haya estropeado un personaje bien acabado.

Yo pienso que el fondo se puede hacer a parte, y luego colocarlo todo en photoshop

Tengo la costumbre, no sé si es la más acertada o no... de hacer primero los personajes. Muchos artistas trabajan primero el fondo, pero para mí es más cómodo partiendo de lo ya dibujado.
Lamentablemente no sé manejar photoshop, me encantaría aprender, sé que PS tiene mogollón de herramientas y efectos para dibujar.
Tengo ahora una comisión en un campo de atracciones y estoy sudando lágrimas de lo que me está costando... dibujar una noria, un tío-vivo... uno acaba harto.

" The Power Ponies went down when Mane-Iac used her secret weapon... rendering their power useless... with great pride, and a laugther that could be heard miles away, Mane-Iac used the Electroorb on her doom day devise, with the last of her Strengh, Radiance manage to signal Humdrum, laughting at this, the villan continued to power up her doom day devise, aiming at Maretropolis Capital, but before she could fire, a shinny scale as sharp as a knife stopped her hoof from pressing the button, looking up, she saw the same Humdrum she mocked before... it was it?... his eyes where filled with determination, ready to stood agains this mare plans on it´s track, and avange his falling team mates, Humdrum and Mane-iac started a battle... the fate of all Maretropolis rested on this dragon shoulders "
Now onto my opinions about this picture... so epic i imagine a fight between humdrum and Mane-iac at the top of Manetropolis museum or something, nicely done ^^, this was excelent! x3

An idea I have would be for Spike to gain a greater power passed on from his G1 ancestor to become the second Dragon Knight.

Hum Drum, the Power Ponies' last standing team member and Maretropolis's final hope, in combat against a villain larger, more powerful, and more capable than he. I love it.
