“Ariel, I told you, always lock the door! A stranger might come in!” Yelled Elisa as she lectured her seven-year-old daughter. The little girl too caught up with her tea party absentmindedly agreed, “Yeah, yeah Mommy…” The woman let out a sigh before walking off, realizing how pointless it was, especially with her interfering with Mr. Stuffum’s birthday.

A couple days had passed since then and it was business as usual for little Ariel, playing with her toys and dolls. That was until she heard her mother make some strange noises. Even stranger, it was already sundown, normally Ariel would’ve had dinner by now. Wondering what was going on, the girl ventured downstairs with her trusty teddy bear by her side.

It is there where she found Elisa, downing wine all while vigorously playing with something in her jeans. The girl slowly approached Elisa, “Mama are you okay?” The woman jolted at the question, before turning around and grinning. “Oh, why hello dear! What’s wrong?” Ariel didn’t know why but something about her mom seemed off. “Ummm…when will dinner be ready?” Elisa rolled her eyes as she poured herself another glass, “In a bit kid! Let me finish the bottle first!” This immediately alarmed Ariel, her mommy rarely drank.

“Who are you? Where’s my mommy!?” Demanded Ariel. Elisa bit her lips, “Heh clever girl! You’re right, I’m not your mommy.” Ariel ran up to the doppelganger and furiously struck at their legs, ordering them to bring their mama back. Eliza’s body cackled, “Oh but there’s no going back my dear, I’m your mommy now, and it’s all thanks to you!” The doppelganger explained that they in fact were a wandering spirit, aimlessly traveling the world. At least that was until he came across Ariel’s house, which had an open invitation. Ariel turned to the front door, “No…” The man gleefully continued, now that the house was under his domain he could do whatever he wanted. And what he wanted to do the most was return back to the land of the living, this time as a smoking hot woman! Ariel erupted with tears, spurring her new mommy to bend down and help wipe them away, "Oh you poor poor thing... Didn't your mommy ever teach you? YOU ALWAYS LOCK THE DOOR!!"
