Description
one of the later stages of a star's life cycle is red gaint

1) loss of material to generate energy by thermonuclear fusion....causes lesser energy output
2) so, there is change in color to red
3) the star also expands in size a great deal

and...this above star....had 19planets....and, when it became a red gaint, it swallowed the proximal 13 planets when this star enlarged....

this is the view from the 16th planet.....

you can see the size of teh star yourself...

also, lot of BLACK spots o the star indicate very cool temperatures in there (cool here relative to other stars!)
