"All was quiet in the darkened room. The barber hunched in his chair, one hand supporting his heavy brow and the other gripping a half-empty gin bottle. His hair fell forward in matted chunks, and the blood smeared across his face had dried into a thin, peeling crust. His body ached, partly from exertion and partly from sorrow."

Here's how the story begins! It's been a day after the events of Final Scene. Sweeney lived and is now left to remain with the guilt and sorrow from that night. He's turned to the bottle, praying death comes his way.
Apologies for it being so dark. I wanted to set the tone just right but make sure he was seen as well. For the background and chair, I edited a screenshot from the movie so that it was empty, and I drew Sweeney sitting in the chair as he's described in the story. Tell me what ya think!
