Pavel Chekov was born to Andrei and Larisa Chekov in
St. Petersburg, Russia in 2241. At a young age, he displayed
extreme intelligence and was sent to a conservatory to study
sciences and mathematics when he was only a toddler. After many
years of rigorous studying, he was deemed a perfect candidate
for Star Fleet Academy and was sent to San Francisco to continue
his education. During his time at the academy, he became the top
of his class in stellar cartography and transporter theory, and
an expert in advanced theoretical physics. He was even the
youngest cadet in history to win the Starfleet Academy marathon.
With these merits achieved, he managed to catch the eyes of his
superiors and he was soon stationed to be the navigator upon the
newly finished flagship, the U.S.S. Enterprise.
