The lights were low with the occasional candle flickering in the slight breeze that cooled the dancers now on the floor.

Heaving a deep sigh Anna, stirred her drink with the little straw she had, watching it stir the drink like the skirts of the female dancers on the floor.

Why had she agreed to come? She hates places like these.

Tipping the glass so the cool beverage slide down her throat, Anna shivered from the slight burn.
Oh yeah that's right she didn't.
Kitty and Jean had drug her from the sanctity of her room to here, where couples danced, singles mingled and everyone else sat at the bar.

Blowing a stray hair away from her face, she gulped down the rest of her drink and pulled the rest of her curly hair into a clip.

"Dat you, chere?"

That voice...it couldn't be.
"Gambit?" Green eyes meet with those familiar red ones.

"Please, call me Remy chere." He sauntered over and sat beside her. "Nevah thought I'd see ya in a place such as dis."

"Jean and Kitty thought it mahght be fun, but so far..."

"No such luck?"

A chuckle escaped his lips. She kinda like the way the candle on the table flickered in his red irises.
A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Leaning her head in her hand she asked, "What about you, yah come here of'n er am ah just lucky?"

"I guess you're jus' lucky."

A not so sophisticated snort escaped her. "Ah'm serious, Cajun, wha..."

Standing up swiftly, he held out his hand. " You wanna dance chere?"
She looked skeptically at his hand, then at him. He was slightly bowed with his other hand behind his back. Eying him from head to toe, he actually looked good in that monkey suit. Looking back up at his expectant face she looked at the bar with her empty glass, then back at the man behind her.

"I'll buy ya a drink aftah, I promise."

"Ahl-raht. Ah guess one wouldn't hurt none."

Taking his hand he lead her out onto the dance floor.
Still having a hold of her hand, they turned to face each other.

"You know de tango, chere?"

"Sure, but can yah keep up, Swamp rat?"

With that, an up tempo beat started and the two started to dance. Being pulled close, pushed away, held so tenderly, hands caressing. It was so intense that they both forgot where they were. Twisting and moving on the floor like they were the only ones. Heat pulsed between them, as they continued to dominate the floor.

She didn't even know when they stopped, she just knew that she was face to face with him and her legs curled around one of his as the same hand continued to hold onto hers as the other held her lower back, and her other arm was wrapped around his back, keeping them locked in place.
Panting for the breath that felt like it eluded them for the moment.

Green eyes stared back into blazing red ones.
She was so close she could feel his heart beat and the heat emitting from him.

"Wow..." She breathed as a smile curled on those tempting lips.

"You need dat drink now, chere?"

"Yeah, A drink would be...wundahful." Pulling away from him she turned to walk away, his hand never let go of hers as he let her lead him off the floor.

When she reached the bar, she almost jumped when she felt his lips by her ear, his breath lightly tickling as he whispered softly in her ear,

"I almost fu'got chere, ya look good in dat dress."

She jolted when his lips pressed to her ear, as she felt some of his thoughts and a little of his power run through her. Jerking away she glared at him, an unforgiving look as he collapsed in the chair.

"Are ya crazy?! Wha' were ya thinkin'? Ya weren' tha's wha's wrong with ya!"

A slight grin was etched on his face, a scowl etched on hers. "Ya need ta keep you're voice down chere, 'sides I barely even touched ya."

Slouching in the chair she ordered a another drink, "Enough tah give me yah thoughts."

"An' wha' was I thinkin' chere?" His red eyes staring lustily at her.
Then she let his thoughts sink in and flushed deeply. Placing her face in her hands, she shook it back and forth.

"Ya alright chere?" he reached down to touch her shoulder, which was trembling.

"Ah'm gonna need a lot mor' tah drink than jus' one shugah...a lot more." She turned to face him a small smile on her face, "You ahe such a jerk, Remy."

"Yeah, bu' cha like me anyway."

Oh yeah, my scanner works...temporarily. IT seems you kind of have to re install the damn thing every time you turn the computer off cause then it wont ever remember that you installed it already!
