She doesn't fit the criteria.

Even though she's a good role model to little girls. Her movie doesn't fit the criteria like the other other official Disney Princess

The other Disney Princesses are selected becasue their princesses are BASED on

Classic fairytales:
Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana and Rapunzel

Histroical Heroines:
Pocahontas and Mulan

And now urban legends:
Merida

Since Vanellope is from a video game she doesn't fit the criteria

Well Merida's story is made up and so is Vanellope.
