because i got asked a number of times what i used for the detailing, the beads are actually shell beads spray painted to the right colour (i had to get 2 different sizes)
and the dress was made first and then i attached the butterfly and beading (which was stupid as i had to hand sew the beading in at the back)
the fabric in the hair (which you can't see) was dyed at the bottom to try... and match the colour of the butterfly

omg... that was the most explanation i have ever given about any of my costumes
