Be prepared for a very long description, because, unlike on Tumblr, I can't put a "Read More" tab. So, this one went into SwiftShell's history. Should I post one without the "sepia tone" added to the image?

"So, you wanna know the story about lil’ ole SwiftShell, huh? Well, you know me. I’m not going to let you get away with a short response when I got a whole story to tell. So those who are willing to stick along for the tale, I hope you enjoy…

It all started when I was born (yeah, I’m going THAT far back). I lived in a city called Pludgeville. As you can tell by the name, fat was a part of our society and way of life. Ponies there were ranked by their weight, thin being lower class and obese being upper class. href= [link] >Elites were on top of the chain. Once my family discovered I was a Semi-Elite, they used it to the full. Or rather, abused it. Day in and day out, they’d continuously stuff me with hardly any breaks, all sorts of sugary treats. I was too young to think that the rolls of fat piling in could possibly cause any problems for me, so I just ate and ate when told to. Now, don’t be getting the wrong idea about my parents. They weren’t mean or anything, they were just doing what our society taught was right. By using my Semi-Elite capabilities in this way, they were putting me on top in Pludgeville terms. Anyway, back on topic, I won’t go into details about how that life was for me, but it sure wasn’t fun. Friends were hard t come by when you couldn’t move to find them. Vicious rumors spread about me throughout the city. One in particular claimed that I actually gorged on ponies, swallowing maybe 20 a day. Only little foals believed such lies. I was homeschooled due to the complications of my size. It even got to a point where my parents had me moved to a museum as a…a tourists attraction. All of it hurt me badly, but I continued feasting on. Food and my parents were all I had left, and I’d let neither down.

That is until one day, one glorious day, when the Wonderbolts came into town for the first time in years. My parents made special arrangements so that I could see the show. And see it I did! Oh, the gorgeous swooping and diving in the sky, the stunts of epic proportions! I asked my dad how they did it, and more importantly, how I could do it. Whoop de doo, I thought when I heard his response. Yet another thing my weight limited me from doing. After the show, my parents lead the Captain of the Wonderbolts (Rainbow Dash) and her friends around town. It wasn’t long until they reached the museum. When they reached my exhibit, none of them actually thought I was alive. They thought I was a stuffed pony (well, dead stuffed pony, not food-stuffed living pony). All of them were shocked to see me alive, being as enormous as I was, though RainbowDash was the most shocked.

Later on that evening, she snuck into the museum and coltnapped me, intending to get me to safety way from this town. Hours later she returned me, having been convinced by Twilight that telling Princess Celestia about me would be more effective. It was, of course. Eventually Princess Celestia arrived to Pludgeville as well and as soon as she saw me, she was determined to get me into safer hooves. After many cases in court (for the Pludgevillian laws do differ and deter from Celestia’s. She couldn’t just wisk me away from my parents, but had to prove that even under Pludgian law my case was outrageous), I was taken out of the custody of my parents and was left in the care of RainbowDash, whose athletic and determined lifestyle would hopefully rub off on me and get me to shed the weight I bore.

There were many bumps in the road, but after years and years and years of struggling, I finally was able to shed all that weight from my colthood. The little me featured in this blog is still carrying that challenge on his shoulders. I’m here to give him what I didn’t have-confirmation, hope that this is a challenge he can complete. And yeah, I still have some slips with my own weight today-okay, many slips-but I always make sure to get back in shape. There’s no way I’m returning to that. "
