"SMOKEPAW!" Whined dewkit as she moved out of the way of his attack

"Yyyyyeeeeessss?" Asked smokepaw giving the little grey tabby kit a amused look

"Font move next time!" He said before getting into a a hunting pose and smokepaw heard a soft purr from tigerbounce

"He really likes you smokepaw!" Said the tabby Queen

"He is my brother after all" smokepaw replied just when dewkit leaped on her and making her fall into a moss nest.

"YAY! HAIL DEWSTAR THE GREATEST LEADER EVER!" cried dewkit standing on his older half sister while tigerbounce made a shout of laugher

Smokepaw pushed him off and bowed to him in a fake pleading voice "oh dewstar please don't make my warriors become kits again! Oh please let us leave in peace" she wailed almost laughing

"I'll think about" said dewkit"go and get me a mouse no a huge hawk so I can think about it"

Smokepaw fell down laughing with tigerbounce and soon dewkit started laughing

"What's so funny?" Asked ashstar walking in and looked right at smokepaw who stood up right away

"Notting dad! We were just playing see I was leader and smokepaw was an other leader and she had to bring me a haw-"

"Don't play like that!" Ashstar said sternly at the kit"leadership should never be mocked or played out!"

Dewkit looked down with a sigh he said "yes father" and ashstar looked at smokepaw "and you! You should have been stopping this not playing with it" he hissed at her

Wanting to claw his face in and then ripping his tail off a growl grew in smokepaw throat and she lower her head.

"Yes.ashstar" she said before getting up and walking out of the nursery.

"HEY smokepaw!" Eagletalons called from across the camp"time for hunting!"he said walking over to her. His warm gaze made her feel abit better but not all the way.

"Let's go." She said before she walked out of the camp along side her mentor(eagletalons) blueears and fallenhope along with applepaw

As the hunting went on the went to bird nest rocks. It had good snakes in here some mice and lots of birds nests at made them on the rocks like the dumb birds they are. Knowing just as well that a hungry apprentice can take there chicks.

As they walked into the rocks laying low to the ground. Watching every bird or snake the could see.

"Ok" fallenhope said sitting down"eagletalons you are with blue ears to look for the birds nest with chicks in it. No eggs, applepaw and smokepaw you two for mice or a wounded bird or small snake I shall stand guard"she said with ever cat nodding and getting up to leave

As applepaw and smokepaw walked together the haa nice cat about well anything about why that rock was shaped like that why do other clans eat other things that kind of stuff.

"So that's why I think breezeclan breath smalls of rabbit dirt" applepaw said looking at smokepaw who laughed softly

"Oh look." Smokepaw said stopping at what looked like a small cave. It was under a large rock and under it was eggs. And coming out of the eggs. Was baby snakes they looked so tiny but yet big. There scales were from copper to golden to brown. Smokepaw and applepaw looked at each other,and applepaw started to go in

"Applepaw! What t u doing?!"asked smokepaw with wide eyes

" relax! Smokepaw look"she killed about three baby snakes with one swipe and then threw them out of the small cave"look this will feed the clan for weeks! There is about twenty here!"said applepaw as she threw five more out

Smokepaw didn't enter. Fear held her back as she watched applepaw kill the rest of the babies. She saw something in the very back of the cave. It was golden long and it hissed

"ADDER" cried smokepaw and reached and grabbed applepaw by her tail and pulled her put of the way when the large snake strikes at her and hissing applepaw brushed up along side smokepaw they watched the large snake come out.

It was bigger than the two apprentices. Its hooked fangs hung out of its mouth. It hissed and looked at the dead babies snakes and hissed again.

"Smokepaw....." Applepaw said"I can't move "

"What!?" Said smokepaw trying to mush the larger shecat but to no use smokepaw knew what to do. She leaped at the snake clawing at it. Its head tried to throw her off but it couldn't.

Hissed smokepaw then leaped off claws out ready to kill this snake 'I never went through training to fight off a snake."she panicked as the snake reared up and strikes at her she thought to feel pain. But she didnt her eyes were Closed shut but her heard the wail from applepaw.

She opened her eyes to find a cat in front of her.

It was fallenhope and the snakes fangs were on her back leg.
