I realized not too long ago that I had only ever drawn the Fellowship once before, about 5 years ago.... [omg, look how horrible that was! :: [link] ]And I decided it was high time I tried again.
Of course I put most of my energy into actually finishing it, no extra elaborations like I would have wanted to do. But maybe someday I'll get around to something spiffier...
So yeah, just a flat layer of color to get a feel for what I was trying to do... plus I was too lazy to shade it
In retrospect, I should have put Frodo in the middle... But hey, Pippin is so much cooler anyway

I'd like to go back and draw this again properly, including some subtle details in the clothes that I have totally just blown off :/.

I read the books when I was about thirteen or fourteen or something like this.... and I was so afraid of Moria... when I read the part... I sat in my room.... which became more and more dark.... the walls of concrete turned more and more into stone.... and then.... the drums came.... and I had to stand up and look if there weren't any Orks on the outside in front of my door.... huh... yeah... my imagination is quite vivid!

Ah, the films are amazing! I love to read the books, because of all the little details and bits of information that could never get into the movie, but the movie itself brings it all to life so well!

Yup... my parents have the extended versions, too.... and we watched them a few weeks ago... all three... we stared in the early afternoon and the last film ended about eleven at night... damn long, but so cool!

Nope, they just don't have the patience :/. My parents also like to go to bed early, and wake up early as well, but they can't stay up late
