Description choices, choices...

even if i had color on my computer, i think the grayscale looks best for this.

aaanyway,
i'm currently going through an odd phase religiously.
like, argh.
now, remember my Faith-Fiction-Fact deviation? [link]
that was just an exaggeration sort of.
of me at least.
i would like to redo that, but adding in another friend. my dear Pagan Herbalist sister . the would-be Satanist if it weren't for the fact that she wouldn't like to "worship herself" as she put it. .

but the thing is, i dunno where i'd go anymore.
i've been researching (very little, but enough to get the jist) a couple of other religions. mostly i'm still caught between these 3 ways of thinking though.
i was raised Christian (and i'm pretty sure my grandma would disown me if i turned anything else.)
i do accept Evolution as scientific fact though.

it's hard to choose one belief when you're as open-minded as i am. i'll accept anything and everything.
to me, if that's what you believe, that's what will happen for you. in my opinion.
so it's hard to choose.

so, so far i think Wicca is rather appealing. very flexible. none of that "THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY! EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG!" sorta thing. plus it can be adapted for personal ideas.
but i'm still having trouble. like i said, i've been Christian my whole life. so i'm kinda stuck with that thought process.
but the thing is, i've always considered other ways. like, even when i was just a tiny littel munchkin. of course i never follwed anything else, but i've thought about it, and now i'm finally seriously considering something else.

buuut, i'm still underage. so if my parents don't like it, then i am stuck.
so i dunno what's gonna happen...

i'll just wait until i figure myself out before i talk to mom about it though....

heh, i love your hair.
By the way, it doesn't matter if your under aged or what your relatives will think, your beliefs are you own and you don't even have to clump yourself in with any organized religions. If people have a problem with it, they're just going to have to get over themselves.

thanks ^.^
but yes, it does matter if you're underage. you can still believe, but your technically not allowed to practice your religion if your guardians don't want you too. you have no rights until you're of voting age.

well, your gardians can't force you to prctice their beliefs, either.

Love that grey scale!

lol, i have a mormaon friend so i can say this: mormons are crazy.

my point tho was that strictness and judgementalness are both sins because in doing so you cause others (lets use u for an example) to doubt or sin or something simular. yeah, no bueno. (lol)

what exactly is this intrest in other religions? like curiosity or like genuine intrest like you may believe it?

yes, very . lol.

yeah :/ ...

i believe everything. that's why it's hard to choose anything specific. i'm just curious to learn more.

ok, then let me be more specific: do you honestly believe, deep in your heart, that tarot cards (for example) will actually show you what you ask? do you still believe them when i tell you that according to them, Adam and i are going to solve our issue about him wanting me to quit band by having kids? (im sorry, thats just ridiculous!)

what i really mean is, you can be curious to know even small details about other religions without actually BELIEVING them, ya know? actually, it could come in handy if say you DO chose Christianity and you want to talk about the gospel to, say a wiccan. you understand exactly where they're coming from and can really communicate with them!

you obviously got a stupid deck of tarot cards... they don't tell you to do stuff like that. the real ones. they tell you your current and past situation and a possible future. they give advice for how to go about something. stuff like that.

but i do believe them. some of them it's curiosity, but others i can see truth in... but i've yet to sort it all out at the moment @.@

well, i didnt mean they were telling me to go have kids! they were saying that in my current relationship, there is strife- true. and in a very round about way that i didnt really understand, they said the problem would be sloved by having kids

even lies may have a grain of truth in them

wellz, no one can force your decision but what i think you need is a good balance of christianity. what i mean is, have you had experiances with too many christians turning into leagalists as i call them? people who are all about the rules? cuz that is not what Christianity is about.

yeah. i dunno what i'm gonna do. like i said, i was raised christian, but have interests in other religions.
so i'm just sort of caught between at the moment.

but yeah. i've had bad experiences with strictly religious people. thank the mormons. :/.

I have a lot of interests in Wicca too, also for the same reason,it's not the 'this is right' thing.(no offense to anyone here who believes)
Plus, being a Wiccan also means being nice with nature. At the moment I still haven't choosen one way yet and I'm not really about to make a choice after all...I was raised as a non-believer,though,my dad was raised as an Christian but he didn't believe.I did believe for a year or so,but I didn't get it anymore after a while.

Good to know you're thinking about the things I say, sister darling. However, I would like to elaborate on one point. You said you were considering "wicca". That IS an organized religion. More flexible than most, but still... It's paganism you can really...personalize. Love you sis!

well, you can personalize wicca if you aren't in a coven. you know, just a single witch sorta thing.
but yes, i see your point. . good idea.
love you too

Well, I don't know how much help I can be, but, I had a very amusing thought about the 'it's not like something as complex as humans just suddenly happened' thing. of course not! a few billion years after the earth was created some bacteria suddenly combined with radioactive space dust!
but yeah, I just sort of believe in atheism, and accept that i may be wrong. i won't know until i die, which is probably why i don't fear death. i'm more curious than anything XP

lol yeah.
yeah, no one really knows. some think they do, but still.
... curiosity killed the cat. rofl. i'm sorry, i just had to say that .

Haha, I am a bit of all three. XD

I'm Catholic, and although I put up with all the bs (I've been confirmed (two years of Sunday school, blargh) so I'm done, woo!), I'm not one of those psycho Catholics.

But I do like Catholicism for the fact that you get some eccentric followers. The Roman Catholic Church adapted A LOT of pagan holidays to make people become Catholic, so a lot of Italian Catholics wear Italian good luck horns (Pagan) right next to their cross or Virgin Mary pendant.

My mom and I do tarot cards, even if we don't put our full faith into those. They're helpful little tools, that's about it.

And I agree with science too. Evolution happened. But who said God didn't decide to create evolution?

My personal belief is believe in God, try not to lose faith, stick to my own morals and insight, and be a good person. I happen to believe that we get reincarnated after a brief stay in Heaven to hang out with family and friends. That's a bit on the Buddhist side, isn't it?

My advice is to stick with a religion that is closest to your ideals (amazingly, Catholicism is as close as it's getting for me), and don't worry about following it to a T. Worship in your own way. If you want to light a ton of candles and do a dance and reinact evolution and thank God for it, do it! XD I'm sure God will be entertained and happy that you at least thought of Him in some way.

Hope that might have helped a bit. ^_~ Don't let people force stuff on you.

yeah, i have a deck of tarot cards. my mom and i use them a bit. they're awesome .

yeah, the Inteligent Design theory, that some divine being triggered evolution has been what i've believed for some time now. it's not like something as complex as humans just suddenly happened. .

yeah, for a while now i've been believing just whatever, reguardless of whether it doesn't typically go with all my other beliefs. and i managed for a while, but i guess i just had a sudden breakdown lately, and needed something... i dunno, solid. somesort of base. you know?

i've yet to figure out exactly what i'm going to do from here, but i'm probably just going to go back to believing anything, but incorporating more of it all in my life. i had a lack of it i guess. :/

thanks very much btw.
