While I'm glad Frollo died at the end of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" it still aggravates me to this day that only he died and not his guards who were just as bad as him. In the bad uncessary sequel, they were shown continuing to perform their duties as guards under Captain Phoebus and helping to stop the villain, showing that their crimes were pardoned and they changed their ways. That's not right if you ask me.

They deserved to die just as much as Frollo did. They willingly served him, and helped him persecute and kill countless gypsies for 20 whole years, and went along with torching the city of Paris to find Esmeralda. They should've been imprisoned or executed after the events of the first movie. They were no better than their boss and didn't regret the things they did for him. I'm pretty sure they would have had to stand trial for their crimes, and the King of Paris wouldnt take "we were just following orders" as an excuse for helping someone ransack and burn his city.

And the Brutish and Oafish guards are the one's I hate the most, they humiliated Quasimodo at the festival in front of everyone and tried to execute Phoebus just for saving the millers' family. The only bad things that happened to them was the Oafish guard being knocked out by Phoebus in the final battle and the Brutish guard getting sit on the face by Phoebus's horse. They should've died or at least been imprisoned for the rest of their days.
