Applejack takes the 4 fillies back to the farm, where she gives Babs a bath outside as the Cmc watch with their remourseful looks on their faces. As she helps bathe her and dry her off, the crusaders tell her the story of what happened. After hearing it, she lectures all 4 of them.

Applejack: Babs did what she did because she was terrified of falling into the trap of being bullied again. Not saying that justifies what she did, it doesn’t, especially since she knew how to feels to be hurt yet choose to do it to others. What she did was wrong, but what you 3 thing was just as, if not, more wrong. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Understand?

They nod, having learn a valuable lesson.

Applejack: Standing up to your bully while at the same time not stooping to their level and having the courage to tell on them is the reasonable thing to do. She didn't have to bully you, you didn't have to go through all that, you didn't have to retaliate in the wrong way, all of this could have been avoided if ya'll just came to me in the first place.

Sweetie Belle: That's what I kept saying!

They turn their attention back to Babs, who steps out of the barrel with a towel around herself all clean up. They feel even more sympathy for her. She left home to get a break from all her bullying, became one herself, and now got embarrassed in front of so many ponies that she may never be able to show her face in Ponyville again and will likely have to return home where her tormentors are waiting for her. They give her a heartfelt apology.

Apple Bloom: We don’t expect you to be able to forgive us after what we did, but we’re really truly sorry for what we did.

After a suspenseful moment, Babs smiles and accepts their apology. While she should be mad at them, she understands that what happened to her were the direct result of the actions that she choose to do and now feels remourseful for, and Applejack made good points of why she was just as wrong as the Cmc. With that understanding, as well as being touched by their heartfelt apology, she had no reason to hate them. The 4 fillies share a hug and Aj smiles at them.
