I really enjoyed reading that fanfiction, written by an experienced author and screenwriter, and I greatly prefer it over the canon season 5 of Samurai Jack. Not because it was bad, but because of Jack's decades of suffering and hardship, and not even being given a proper well deserved happy ending due to losing Ashi.

In this story, Jack doesn't suffer for so long, he not only succeeds in making it to the past, but he destroys BOTH future and past Aku, so that the alternate future exists in an alternate timeline where the people of the Earth can finally live in peace just as the one's in Jack's timeline, and because Jack gets a true happy ending, being happily married with a kid. Plus, the final battles he had with both future and past Aku was cooler than the original, and so was the way he returned to the past, which you can read in this fanfic.

This woman is the girl Jack was shown playing with in the episode "Jack remembers the past" and her name in that fanfic universe is Princess Kimiko. In that fanfic, she was the princess of a kingdom called Ryukyu, that was the next one Aku enslaved after sending Jack to the future and beginning his world conquest, and she sent herself into the future, playing a pivotal role in helping Jack return to past, sacrificing herself in the process.

In the past, where she was still alive in, due to Jack arriving before Aku took over and enslaved her kingdom and people, her and her royal family met with Jack's, to express their gratitude and in no time, their families became very close and so did they. She even recognized him from her childhood, after he made her another origami cricket, like he did when they first met as kids.

Some time later, the samurai prince and princess were married in a beautiful royal ceremony that united their two kingdoms into one. Together, they led their people into a new age of peace and prosperity, with them and the whole world free of Aku's evilness. They had a single son, who was adventurous and admired his father as his hero, that Jack trained in the ways of the samurai. The new emperor and empress were beloved by all their people and they lived happily ever after.

Here they are now for a romantic evening, enjoying a nice view of mountains and sakura trees at a balcony.
