I honestly don't like "Prince Ali reprise" and feel that a great villain like Jafar deserved his own song, like other Disney villains. And this deleted one was honestly perfect and I wish they went with it instead. The song had better and more creative lyrics', was more enjoyable, and it gives us more of Jafar's backstory and motivation to know him better.

And the way he takes over Agrabah and exposes Aladdin to Jasmine isn't as rushed as it was in the movie. In "Prince Ali reprise" all he does is take off his clothes and call him Aladdin instead of Ali, how does that expose him as a liar to Jasamine, considering she already saw him in his beggar clothes when they first met and was under the believe that he dressed as a commoner to escape the pressures of palace life? In this song, after stripping him, he explained to Jasmine in his own words that he's a lying street rat, and Aladdin says "Jasmine...I'm sorry" instead of "I tried to tell you", to confirm it, and him apologizing for lying to her, instead of saying that he tried to tell her the truth before, is emotional.

And he was shown abusing the Genie throughout the song and cruelly taunting Aladdin several times, those add to his evilness.
