Wow, I kinda thought it would be tough being biracial and all, but I never thought it came down to choosing sides. Another thing. Why is it that when you are mixed black/white you are still automatically considered black/african american. Kinda jacked up. Thanks for sharing.

Well it's different for everyone, some feel they have to choose sides, some feel pushed to choose what side, some don't feel they have to decide at all, and etc lol. And I totally agree with the if you mixed black and white your automatically considered black. Most people mistake me for a Latina, but once they figure out that I'm black and white, I'm suddenly their "black" friend.
I think it has to do with "black" celebrities. Like Halle Berry, Beyonce, etc. Even though they are mixed race, the media represents them as black. (Just a guess)

It annoys me that when one is half black and half white, people will just think you are only black. I always have, and always will, see myself as BOTH.
But in the end, it doesnt really matter. What matters is who you are as a person. We are all God's beloved children, equal in His sight.

I can relate I am multi-racial my mother is Korean,Japanese and Black and my father is German. It's a bit confusing but I've never really encountered any prejudice probably because I live in a pretty diverse area. You are very pretty though :}

I feel you. I ask myself "Am I black or am I white?"Dads says am black cause what the society says.I told him the society mistake me as a Mexican ( got nothing against them) chew on that for a couple of days.

Yeah i know what you mean, a lot of black guys ive met tell me "Well society sees you as black, so just accept who you are" I do accept who i am I am mixed race! But yeah i usually respond with This society has mistaken me for a lot of things and its usually not black

this is truely lovely. i'm biarcial too well, honestly i think i'm more than just two colors. my mother and i counsider myself a mutt. which is fine by me coz that means i'm made up with foreign blood as well. an i believe you, too, are more than just black and white but the whole rainbow if you ask your parents! <3
