The next day he arrived at the yard at Wellsworth when he came to set down some vans to find the engine in question tidying up the yard. She saw Chris and was delighted to see him.

"Oh, hi Chris!" Drew whistled. Chris blushed as he saw her and looked away.

"Um...hey Drew." Chris replied. By now, Drew was aware of his feelings toward her and knew exactly why he was nervous talking to her. Drew smiled as she then took in the sight of his spooky paintwork that made her boiler bubble with excitement. "So how's it been? On Thomas' line I mean." Despite his lack of experience being romantic he felt more confident making small talk with Drew.
