James had no time to respond when he went to the stationmaster with his idea. "Come on then, James." Edward's driver said, inferring that he convinced Sir Topham Hatt to lend him his help. James saw this as an opportunity after having built Edward and Emily up he could now begin to tear them apart. Edward shunted his empty wagons onto the front of the tankers James had brought to the station, then James buffered onto Edward and they were off down the line.
