PT Boomer and the rest of the group had gathered around her for a very important ritual. "The time is come, brothers and sisters! Let us stoke the fires of our spirits, and the fire in Our Lady's boiler!" He called out to the still drowsy crowd, but not for much longer. He took a shovel and scooped out a full load of coal after Burnett and Patch had tossed a rag into her firebox to get the fire started. "O coal of the Earth, come, explode forth in brilliant flame! Bring upon us the light of Heaven, bless us with the tender warmth of The Lord! Give Our Lady strength!" He said, and he threw the shovelful of coal into the firebox, which sent a shower of embers shimmering up. The crowd cheered and soon, Lady was making steam.
