James had been working hard over the past three months to sway her decision in his favor, but he still felt as though he wasn't doing enough. He feared that he couldn't do enough to make her want to marry him at the end of the six months. It was drawing close to the end of March, the halfway point of the time she had allotted him. As the spring air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers, James puffed into Peel Godred with his passengers, right on time. As luck would have it, his girlfriend whirred into the station pulling a short goods train. He gave her an affectionate toot of his whistle, "Good morning, darling!" He said, sweetly. Calynn looked over to see her boyfriend simmering on the other side of the platform.

"Hello, James." She replied. Then, something caught James' eye.

"Look, all the flowers are starting to bloom!" He said to her. Calynn and James looked all around and after the cold had killed back much of the grass, it was now greening back up with many wildflowers blooming as well. "Aren't they beautiful?"
"All the flowers are so pretty! I love wildflowers!" Those words set off lights in James' smokebox that gave him an idea.
