Wow, Tomica always had highly detailed cars.

That they do! This one's a reissue of a vintage casting. The nice thing about Tomica is they still have almost all of their original tooling still available and the reissue most of them fairly frequently.

Wow, I'd like to get myself a few of their vintage recasts.

Two years ago I would have steered you towards ToyEast. Unfortunately they've since gone out of business. I haven't found a good source for Tomica since. The few cars they send to TRU here in the USA is a mere shadow of what the home market is privvy to.

There was a toy store that used to be all over called "KB Toys" and they'd sell a lot of the older or discontinued toy brands or toy sets, not to mention they had an awesome selection of 1:18 diecast models. I think most of the locations in the U.S. have either gone out of business or have been bought out by other stores.

I loved KB! And before them my favorite was Child World/Children's Palace. They went out of business in the early '90s though.
