Here are some lost files salvaged from a defunct and ancient computer.(I'm serious about that. This pic KILLED my laptop. And the fact that the RAM has kerploded, leaving me with a machine that can only handle saving one photoshop layer at a time and text only if i'm lucky, is why it's -really- not as good as it should be D: )
...anyway. Yeah. Wouldn't normally do something like this, I'm not usally -quite- this anal and obsessive about fan stuff... but I just fancied getting the anatomy book out and practising drawing a skeleton. That plus I have a lot of worldbuilding ideas hanging about doing nothing and thought it'd be nice to present them as some of Gerald's blueprinty things.
So here's me taking Shadow and going nuts
Text should just about be readable (is on this pc anyway) but I'm not expecting anyone to plough through it all XD there's a quite a few fanfiction hints in there if anyone's really interested in reading it. Not essential though XD
Apparently ARK runs on Windows. <.<'
Shadow is not mine, obviously.

I love anatomy studies, but few are as intensive as this. The skull especially blows me away with the detail. I have just one tiny question - are the lower canines supposed to fit like that? Seems that given the already short mandible, placing them behind the upper canines and so far back would reduce their effectiveness in a bite...Of course, the way they are now does add to the βsharpnessβ of the muzzle.

Well, I was basing the tooth arrangement on my small collection of animal skulls- but you're right, it's more for appearance's sake and probably wouldn't work 'in real life.' When you come down to it, anthro or not, it's still a cartoon character so I didn't go too much into the actual mechanics.

This is absolutely amazing! I've never read a more detailed and well put together (report? diary maybe?) on the anatomy of Mobians, let alone Shadow! This is truly an amazing peice, and I really hope you know that. This is instantly a fav for me!

Though I have to say, you made me feel like a dork. I went through and read all of the little blurbs and whatnot, and then you went and said "Yeah, I'm not expecting anybody to actually read the whole flipping thing, lawlz". Then again, checking the amount of comments and whatnot, I'm thinking I'm probably not the only one.

OMG you made a Mobian hedgehog Realstic and DIDN'T fail, do you have any idea how many people have tried that and failed!? OMG (as you can probebly tell this is the first of your Artworks I've seen)
I've been trying to perfect a realistic design for Sonic characters myself for ages! I've always gone with smaller heads though, and about 60% of the drawings have digitigrade legs.
(*goes to looks at all your other Sonic art* hmm it seems you base you mobians on older media (where Knux, Sonic and Amy are the only ones brightly coloured) whilst me on newer (where they're all colourful.))

Wow... this certainly shows that you did a lot of thinking on the subject. I like the skeleton and all of the explanations for it. But then again, I'm just a sucker for anatomy.
I don't agree with all of it, of course, but I'm not as a rabid Shadow fan to care really. I think you did a great job. Maybe I'm actually most impressed by the windows shell design you've created for this...

I've read the whole thing- it's very interesting. I think it's really neat how you've taken the time to go into such detail about Shadow, especially things like the bracelets and his shoes and how they work
I'm also quite taken with the anatomy you use with Shadow- the slightly more 'human' proportions and that almost canine-looking head actually make him seem more realistic, I think.
