Description
I seem to be doing a lot of traditional media images these days! It's a shame I've only got a small selection of markers. I need to get a full set really.Anyway, this was done on A3 in marker, pencil and gouache. The marker went a bit streaky due to the paper I used, but apart from that I'm quite pleased with it.

Ooh... So beautiful! ^..^ Is he inspired mainly by chameleons, given the eyes and the curly tail? It's certainly the prettiest anthro chameleon I've seen. Stunning painting.

Nice job with the Jackson chameleon. I love those things. You really captured the eye and its odd pivot-socket appearance. Yay, reptiles!

Wow... just HOLY CRAP.
I love how he's hanging upside down and how his colors blend in so nicely with the tree *kind of a dumb thing for me say since he's a chamelion, but I just felt like saying it :B*

Hungry little lizard. That butterfly is clueless. Will it go to butterfly heaven, butterfly hell or will it haunt the chameleon?
Uh, seriously, I don't see anything to criticize here. It's pretty.

Wow, that's some cool anatomy. It must be awkward to draw a character hanging upside down in that pose, but you've emphasized the gravity perfectly. ^w^
Dude, how do you scan an A3 picture? O.o

Scan one half at a perfectly straight angle, then scan the other half at a perfectly straight angle, then spend ten minutes trying to make them line up properly *dies*
You can probably see a join if you look closely. I HATE scanning A3 stuff x_x

This is awesome, lovely blend of medias, and the chameleons expression makes me giggle. Well...the entire drawing makes me giggle what with the pose and expression and title....X3;;; Very creative pose as well, it looks so natural. :3

Man, a few weeks ago I was trying to draw an anthro chameleon and failed miserably. this is awesome, however. very well done, especially considering you didn't have many markers.

the lighting is very nicley done, especially with markers How long does it usually take for you to color something like this?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
Swirlything In reply to DM-Knuxlight [2006-02-20 13:46:58 +0000 UTC]
Not that long, since you have to colour it -fast- (if the ink dries, you get streaks x_x)
A couple of hours for the markers, then a few more for the pencil and paint over the top.
