If you don't know, this is a bit of graffiti from Half Life 2 that I've always wanted to draw. It's a primate, an human, and a combineβillustrating would could arguably be the steps to evolution or the steps to damnation.I've always loved the story of Half Life and the games are fun as hell. I know my anatomy sucks, so shut up; besides, I was mainly only trying to work on detail. I fucking had so much fun with the Combine head and the gear-work and such.
Such and such characters belong to Valve or Black Mesa or whoever XP

This aspect of the game always fascinated me when I was younger; the concept of being forced to give up yourself to become some sort of "transhuman". I remember seeing this as graffiti in the game. It hinted at what was going on at Nova Prospeckt without actually showing you anything. It answered the question of "what's under that Overwatch mask?" HL2 was brilliant. It was dark and foreboding, and I will never forget it!Β You've done an amazing job bringing in so much detail. Absolutely fantastic!!

I believe that Combine were originally aliens. Once they invaded Earth, many humans were captured/recruited and became a mesh of man/machine/alien to become part of the Combine's ranks.

Combine are many things. What they do is take over planets, take its inhabitants (in this case humans) and stuff them with technology. It is believed that they're controlled by the "advisors", the mind-controlling slugs basically. I think Combine are basically puppets of the "advisors".
