I came up with this design, while lost in my thoughts and browsing creature designs, and then, my head lit up
"Hey, what if I make a reversed T-Rex ?"
By that I meant : T-rexes were known to have ginormous muscular legs, and really small arms.
So at first I decided to reverse that, and make it enormous muscular arms, and a bit smaller legs.
And then, one pair of eye added here, one pair of arms added there, spikes, crocodilian scales, snake-like heat sensors, and boom
Here's the lad ! It's a sort of redesign for the Deinovenator, and possesses the same colors.
So as said above, the Xenosaurian has muscular and powerful forelegs, which make it have this lumbering gate, similar to a gorilla. It can stand up on its hind legs to observe the area around it. Its hind legs, while being a bit smaller than its arms, are still quite stocky and muscular in themselves. Its eyesight is rather poor, so it relies on the heat sensors present on the lips to sense its environment. Its armored plates are covered in scars from previous battle and wrestling.
It lives a rather abboreal lifestyle and is an ambush nocturnal predator.
It will attach itself to a tree, via its claws or tail, and its spots on its skins will glow a faint purple/Magenta, attracting the potential prey which seems to be hypnotized. Until it reaches the no return zone as the Xenosaurian will grab it its talons and grip it firmly with its curved claw and immense strength, and shoot out a poisonous toxic cloud of gas that will slowly kill the poor doomed prey and the whole pack if it were accompanied.
If the prey is tougher than it seemed to be, then it will resort to violence with its raw power and vicious bites and claws. It is not able to run on long distances, due to its heavy arms, but can have short speed bursts and will latch onto its meal with its hook-like claws and from there, there is no escape.
