Because Kirby Right Back At Ya lore is actually just Star Wars—Space Knights are but a remnant of current civilization
—Mentor character who is one of the last of these space knights
—generic protagonist/heroessss journeyyy
—criminals (one with a language barrier and a bandolier, cmon) turned heroes due to the mentor character
—main villain is a mysterious, far more powerful presence behind the one who acts like the main villain for a good part of the series

I can see why you’re think that, but as is for a contest in the anime universe, it makes sense
Meta Knight is Kirbys mentor in the anime, and the last of the space knights that once defended the galaxy, and he teaches Kirby, who is Luke, to swordfight—so hes a deadringer for Obi-Wan Kenobi
Dedede works as he is a mere pawn in the game of Nightmare, who would of course be Emperor Palpatine in this AU

Eh, I get it— thats kinda been me this week— lotsa drawing (to be fair, instead of studying, lol) and only checking in on DA every once in awhile on my phone
