Presenting my oc series’ main rivalry, Axe and Petrary. Through a series of wHaCkY sHeNaniGaNs including species discrimination and a religious organization having pull in a planet’s military, both characters end up accompanying Mace on his journey.

[traditionally, the Ignite(the mortal reincarnation of Ignis, divine embodiment of energy, emotion, etc.) chooses one mortal companion to protect them from harm and aid them in their duties to the universe. This will often be a family member, friend, or in Axe’s case, significant other.]

Axe, understandably, isn’t thrilled about a)y’know, the discrimination, and b)working alongside an almost complete stranger who’s not only a far too good with a bow and arrows for someone supposedly raised as a pacifist, but also doesn’t seem to care much about the one they’re protecting past their mission and the occasional polite gesture.

Petrary, on the other hand, has a job to do, a universe to restore balance to, and they don’t take kindly to Axe getting in the way of that. After all, this is their chance to prove that their just as capable, more even, than those born into wealth nobility... to make their mark on Ironian history. Axe wouldn’t understand that, of course— how could he, given the family he’s from...

Oh boi I just spent like half an hour writing and rewriting that 4 paragraph description— so anyways...
