Alright let’s do some fast facts about Raihan’s mum, aka Cardamine:
A 7’ dragon-type Pokémon breeder, she still finds time to attend every single one of her son’s matches amidst making sure all the dragons that live on her property get the attention and care they need. Her partner, Hydreigon (still a Zweilous when Raihan was growing up), is the resident guard dragon, making him a tad bit overprotective and an extremely fierce battler. Hydreigon’s power, combined with Cardamine’s skill and connection with the dragon-type, lead to the duo being a young Raihan’s primary opponent when he was first training for the Galar League.
Her name comes from Cardamine pratensis, the scientific name for a common British wildflower, known as the mayflower, lady’s smock, etc.
