i think you could had experimented more and devloped more with several layer.

My  past drawings were made by many layers and doing so cost me a lot of time, therefore for some recent artworks, I did something different so as to save some more time and improve my skills.

i see.
if i am allowed to suggest something. i think you should redo the chains behind the demon. the wall and the head of the demon. they are blury. those blury part are contradicting the rest of the piece that is relatively detailed and perfectly made.  (if it is even possible with a one layer piece)

Well the size is not that big,so it is a little hard to detail his face.I think it is ok coz his face is not complicated. The wall, actually an giant bronze door of a giant bronze gate. the  indigo light shines from the inside coming with some demonic atmosphere and thus the whole environment is blury, actually I want to make the background like this, different from the character, a little distant from the character. I watched many CG artists videoes and many of them drew conceptual artworks fast . The drawings look good when you stand far but blury when you stand close. I tried the way they drew and my original idea was to make this drawing just conceptual----do not do too many details,just focus on one or two things--character or background or both and spotlight the the whole atmosphere and the feelings projecting to the watchers. Your suggestion is good coz for me many drawings are for fun , for some sudden flash inspiration or yes as you say  for some experiences. I will try some new blushes and seek for some new and more efficient ways to do my drawing if I have time. After all, it is not easy to master CG drawing.

i understand very well all of your point.
do not take it too hard. youre far from being a beguiner. but i am not familiar with technique using blurr [and i am just a photograph and a writer, not a digital artist]. soo i though that the blurry part where not made as perfectly as the other part.
and although the face is not blurry, i though it could use a re-design

that being said, yea, totaly, practice make perfect ^^
