-Personality-
*Charming
He's ruggedly dashing, has aged like wine and unfortunately still has game after all these years. While many are able to see passed his rough handsome exterior and see him as the pathetic feline he is, Tez has a smooth tongue and a swagger about him that some may find charismatic. Whether it just be his handsome face or his sweet lies...
*Petty
Tezcatlipoca goes a long way to prove a point even ones that start silly or simple, and the risks he's willing to take-including the negligence of the safety of himself or bystanders are problematic. Despite being a risk taker Tezcatlipoca does have deeply instinctual self preservation rooting from his wild origins. He has little issues pushing past the lives of others to ensure his own life remains.
*Apathetic
Tezcatlipoca can be described as primarily self concerned, taking the thoughts or ideas of others into little account. He trusts himself first entirely, showing little interest in besides a select few- usually the ladies that've caught his interest in the moment, working with others has never been a strongsuit of the jaguar.
*Impervious
Despite his awful pettiness not much gets to the jaguar-call him any unsightly name in the book and Tezcatlipoca will shrug it off. Because he knows he's those things-Simply put? He doesn't care, being this way has gotten him this far so why stop now.
*Leech
Quite a fall from grace considering his self-sufficient past. When he sees an opportunity to milk for his benefit Tezcatlipoca takes it with a full head of steam- whether he gets far in endeavors like this a story to behold, as despite his flirtatious charm manipulation matters are come and go. He just lacks finesse.

History
Tezcatlipoca's life began nestled deep in the in the jungles of the south american rainforest on a misty night with no moon. Though he'd be named after the Aztec God later in life-Tezcatlipoca was born nameless. His life began humbly as any wild jaguar. He was born with two siblings who'd perish from a life in the harshness of the wilderness and despite his unusual coloration Tezcatlipoca exceeded the odds and survived to adulthood-perhaps in part due to his massive size, even as a youngster. When he easily dwarfed the surrounding neighbors of his mother's territory predators came less frequently, and that brought about more food to himself and his mother allowing his size to sky rocket. When his mother would die he would already be at the age he'd find his own territory so he'd come to inherit his mother's territory, and he'd find living alone came quite naturally.
There was very little that could threaten the jaguar, even smaller black caiman would fall prey to his mighty jaws. The sparing males who'd challenge him would run away with their tails between their legs, and females flocked to him for his prowess. Undisputedly he was king of his territory and his reputation carried far across the rainforest. But his reign as a King would come to an end. It would begin with the arrival of Roman poachers looking to bag the biggest buck- or in this case biggest jaguar. And when they discovered the giant pawsteps left from the king the dreaded poachers' hearts would be set on making a trophy out of him. They tracked him night and day but catching him wouldn't be so simple.
So, the poachers took drastic measures. At the time of their arrival the rainforest experienced a drought, so they set fire to Tezcatlipoca's territory. The dryness in the aid in the fumes of flames, and so they believed they would use fire to draw their prey out and strike. Tezcatlipoca's territory would burn, all of it go up in smoke and ash as attempt to flood him out, but that just ignited the jaguars fury. This would be the poachers' fatal mistake, as Tezcatlipoca instead used the flames to his advantage. With the craze and confusion from the flames the jaguar led the poachers into the fury of the other animals of the rainforest who also suffered due to the fire until there was just a single man left. Tezcatlipoca would kill him with his own claws, but the jaguar wouldn't come out out unscathed from the match. He lost his tail and his paw pads were burnt so hunting was difficult after the ordeal. Smoke also lingered in the air far after the fires, sullying the once fresh air of his territory that brought his prey.
Tezcatlipoca could've died, but he did not- and it was because he met another human. This one however was far more benevolent than the poachers that left his kingdom in ruins. The man was a scholar, an avid adventure and traveler. Each story logged away in his journal, a mountain of knowledge he held close to his heart and shared feverently with others. His name; Raguel Maris. You see, Raguel was also down on his luck, after his time learning with the locals he lost his way and was lost deep in the tangling forests.
Stumbling into the destroyed territory of the jaguar, the smoke made it even harder for him to regain any sense of direction. When he was about come to a rest from the smoke he made himself known; the giant jaguar. Reminded of the legend of the God who took the shape of a jaguar, Raguel named him Tezcatlipoca. Raguel and Tezcatlipoca's initial relationship was far from smooth but with time and a shared interest, survival, they were able to come to peace with eachother. Raguel cleaned Tez's wounds and with a offered him meat, and Tez lead Raguel out of the forest to his ship.
Seeing how they could mutually benefit eachother, atleast to Tezcatlipoca, the jaguar followed the man and became his traveling companion. The two would go on a grand many of adventures over their years, very rarely settling any one place for long but always finding the time to dock in Massilia for supplies. Tezcatlipoca would come to appreciate the traveling life, until...
Raguel fell in love with the maiden Melitta Rinles of Massilia. The once free spirited traveler now came to settle in the port more and more frequently. It wouldn't be long now until they marry and settle down-much to Tezcatlipoca's chagrin...Staying in the port too long always made his skin crawl.
