I'm in love ;_; I'm currently studying 3D conception and digital design for video games at university (I just finished my first semester) and I can't wait to be able to create things that cool *o* What software did you use if I may ask?

Very nice. The slick form of the creature is supplemented by the smooth, relatively level gradient. The piece is given a huge amount of depth despite its calm, rounded nature by the immense detail on the head and the skin, which also gives the impression of realism. The imposing pose of the figure is also quite confronting, and light is used there along with scale to assume the large scale of the Smaug. Awesome work!
