Wee! Patchouli from the Touhou series! :3Patchouli was suggested to me to draw by the fantabulous !
Thank you~! She was so much fun to draw!
I've sinfully never played any Touhou games, and there was an unfortunate lack of detailed reference pictures, so pardon any flaws in her character design.

Reimu Hakurei: Calm down? I can't calm down! Luke Mochrie has been taken prisoner by the Executor, Nostalgia Critic just entered the plot hole, Last Angry Geek is still dead, Cinema Snob is still corrupted, the rest of the reviewers are walking right into a trap, and Marisa is still deluding herself into thinking she's the One True Alice!
Patchouli Knowledge: Look, you just need to have a little faith, OK? Nostalgia Critic and his crew has gotten out of worse situations before! Besides, you have to remember that Linkara is on his way! He defeated Lord Vyce, he defeated the Entity and he defeated Mechakara-
Reimu Hakurei: Mechakara! Right! He still has the Gem of Exxodia!
Nitori Kawashiro: But he doesn't know how to use it. Nobody does. Besides, his battle with the reviewers left him pretty damaged.
Patchouli: My point is that, if Linkara could defeat all of them, he can surely defeat the Executor and rescue Nostalgia Critic! You have to believe in him, believe in his powers!
Reimu Hakurei: You are right...I guess I was just stressed about the whole situation, that's all. But what about Marisa?
*cut to Marisa Kirisame, still wearing a light blue pinafore dress, having tea with Suika Ibuki*
Marisa Kirisame...and then I said, "If you don't stop that right now, I'll sic Dinah on you!". Of course, Dinah was nowhere near me, and even if she was, she couldn't have done anything to stop them, but they didn't know that. Besides, I was still giant-sized, so just the threat of it was enough. Then, they started throwing pebbles at me! Could you believe it? Pebbles! I was giant-sized, and they still had the nerve to throw pebbles at me? Of course, I was stuck inside the house, but still! So, anyway-
Suika Ibuki: Look, is this gonna take long? I'm gonna have a wrestling match with Yuuka in two minutes!...and I don't like tea.
*cut back to Patchouli, Reimu and Nitori*
Patchouli Knowledge:..we'll just have to be patient. One more week, and her mind will return to normal...or as normal as Marisa's mind usually gets.

It's also very hard. The Touhou series is very hard, especially the old games and EoSD. Don't be surprised if you can't even get past the first stage when you first try it. XD

PC. It's 7.5 in the series and features my very favorite character: Suika Ibuki, the drunk oni loli! XD Sadly, on my computer, IaMP runs extremely slowly while PCB and EoSD along with all the games lower than 6 run too fast. ._.

Yeah, it's a fighting game and everyone knows fighting games rock. ^-^ Apprantly, the people that made Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and this one other fighting game helped ZUN, which is good, since ZUN sucks at drawing quite a bit. Can't draw hands at all.

AND the hair and the sparklies~ As a suggestion maybe you could vary the lineart a little - as in making the lines thicker or thinner, to highlight the clothing and hair
Then again most of my art has very thick lines

varying the lineart is basically thickening some areas or making some areas tapir (such as the hair). What I do is just going over the line, but I make the new line path (with the pen tool) a little bit apart from the first line. That way it doesnt just make the line darker, because I want it thicker
meh, there's different methods, like using different brushes for different areas - you should read the first bit of this tutorial on the varying lines, you might have already seen this tutorial since it's quite popular [link]

I didn't know who she was either until she was suggested to me to draw by ~Icey-chan because I had a bit of an art block going on. I'm very happy I discovered her and the Touhou series! The series has some fun, pretty characters.
