Description
Using the amazing sprites by the awesome crafted some sprites for an idea I had about a year ago involving an alternate reality where the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers not only had different dinosaurs/prehistoric animals, but that different characters were chosen.

Most were meant to be characters, side characters, that were shown in like one or two episodes during the early years of show. One comes from the awesome comics by BOOM! Studios.

-Stegosaurus (Green) -Richie Mendoza
-Styracosaurus (Red) -David 'True Heart' Oliver
-Apatosaurus (Purple) -Shawna Hilton
-Spinosaurus (Orange) -Matthew Cook

Then I realized (recently) that most of the actors who played these characters have sadly passed.

My 'Power Rangers' ConceptWell... figured I'd at least share some of my idea for an 'alternate reality' Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. As mentioned in here:,Mixture of TV continuity and BOOM! Studios continuity. -Main Enemy: Master Vile -10,000+ years ago. Lady Fienna survived to raise Rita and eventually the two (joined with Zordon) banished Vile to Earth's Moon, in the same dimensional 'trashcan'. -Rita in this world is Rita Radiance? -Then (in 'present day' (the 90's)) gets released, and promptly resumed his vendetta against Zordon. -Following his banishment, is currently in a significantly weakened state compared to his main timeline counterpart. -Seeks to both restore his diminished power as well as utterly annihilate everything Zordon holds dear... starting with Earth. -His monsters are primarily set around finding possible energy sources for him. -But even when they're destroyed, he still gets a medium-to-small portion back. -Tries to create his own 'Ranger' using pieces of his old personal 'War Zord', a dragon-like machine. -Mixture of Dragon Zord and Serpentera. -Resembles the 'Black Dragon' machine creature from BOOM!. -Picks David Oliver's girlfriend/love interest, Trini Kwan, as his 'Black Dragon Ranger'. -Is like her own version of the "Ranger Slayer". -After a massive conflict, though, his 'Black Dragon Ranger' defects to the other side.-Vile's Subordinates:-Mordant: Vile's 'Finster', creating monsters and weapons for his master due to said weakened state. Claims to be a cousin to Silverback, a claim the warrior disputes greatly.-Silverback: The brother of the (in this version of events) late Goldar. Wears a dark silver-plated version of his sibling's armor in tribute? -Also has Cyclopsis, his own 'War Zord' from back in the day.-Scorpina: Silverback's trusted companion, some would even say lover (never out loud). -Rumor has it she was rather close to Goldar, and when he passed, Silverback was the one who kept her in the 'fold' and good graces of Vile.-Professor Longnose: One of Vile's few 'generals' that survived the war. Unshakably loyal to his Master, no matter what.-Dischordia: An old ally of Master Vile, and some would say that they're much, much more than that. That doesn't mean she (unlike Longnose) wouldn't turn on him if it suits her.-Rito Revolto: Master Vile's son. In this version of events, is more akin to Kalibak, in that he's constantly trying to prove himself to his father. Is not QUITE as idiotic as his main timeline counterpart, especially since Silverback has been training him. -Also not a skull-creature like in the main timeline... at least not yet. -NOTE: Rito had, in the main series, once mentioned how Rita Repulsa used to use her magic to torture and injure him for 'fun'. Well I'm going by the fan theory that THAT is why Rito looks the way he does, due to his sister. -So at first resembles a mixture of the human disguise of Gashadokuro (the character Rito is based on) and Thrax (Rita & Zed's supposed child). So in short: with no evil Rita to screw him up with her magic, this is what he looked like before.-Possible Vile Monsters- -Rammerhead -Frightwing -Skullator (based on Bones (Dino Charge)) -Blue Globber -Nimrod/Scarlet Sentinel -Witchblade -LipsyncherThis isn't all there is... especially once Vile tries to bring forth the 'Orb of Doom'. But that's for another day.
