For this story concept, as initially described in the 'Dark Ultra' submission, is basically a fan story/concept by me that's one big love-letter to the Ultraman Mythos. And plays with the idea of this bizarre 'shared history' that humanity will eventually realize they have with the denizens of the "Nebula M78" (aka: "Land of Light").

Ultraman Break is, in this story, the latest addition to this history. The concept twists the formula in that it's human counterpart isn't exactly what you'd call 'Ultra Material', he's not apart of ANY Science Patrol-like group, he's not exactly that fit, and he's not Japanese (an American, currently). So it's basically Ultraman by way of the show 'Greatest American Hero'.

Unfortunately, Ultras (in this story's mythos) tend to be mostly fluent in Japanese, so when he starts out... this guy has ZERO idea as to how the whole 'Ultraman' job works. He's got the voice of 'Break' in his head, (speaking mostly in Japanese) and has to now go fight bizarre alien monsters in both his home country and abroad.

But as he goes, he begins to get the hang of it, and with Break's help, they begin to uncover the latest cause of the 'Monster Activity'... as most of the creatures they've been fighting are either controlled by the 'Dark Entity'... or are FLEEING from said presence.

Would also play with the idea of just about EVERY iteration of the franchise exists in this same history in some fashion.

Used a whole buncha Ultraman sprites, the Agul, Dyna and Gaia versions from the 'Taiketsu! Ultra Hero' Gameboy Advance game.
