Back to spriting more 'Captains Geography', this time Marvel's Soviet-Era Superhero, Red Guardian. As with many of fellow operatives within the USSR, they were meant to be their country's answer to members of the Avengers. Crimson Dynamo for Iron Man, Perun for Thor, and Red Guardian for Captain America.

Many people have taken on the title of 'Red Guardian', it's a title that goes back (retroactively) till at least the middle of World War II. Many have simply died in the line of duty, defending their country from various threats. Others have simply given up the title to accept different roles or different jobs within their government.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the Red Guardian has been renamed the 'Steel Guardian' (at least when the writers remember that is).

Made this using Captain America, obviously (). Had plans, once, to recolor/edit a whole sheet of Captain America sprites to become 'Red Guardian' sprites for mugen. Kinda fell through mainly due to the fact that his shield is a bitch to make. Hope it looks good.
