Daniel Tiller, up and coming Egyptologist, will probably never know what drew him to the golden Scarab found in the tomb of Pharaoh Abasitut that fateful day in 1940. Maybe it just looked interesting, maybe he wanted a personal souvenir, or maybe it was FATE. Whatever the reason, he would soon find out (once back home in America) that said object bestowed upon him phenomenal powers. Flight, Strength and Invulnerability.

Being of good moral fiber (aside from knicking small objects from Pharaoh tombs ) he decides to use these powers for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. Thus was born Mister Scarab! He began to carve out his own path of crimefighting, ordinary and super-ordinary alike. But of his opponents, the most persistent was a foe who claimed to be a reincarnated Atum-Set, councilor to Abasitut. Not only was he persistent, he also seemed to always DIE at the end of their confrontations. Despite this bizarre tendency, Atum-Set always seemed to return months later.

Trying to even the odds, his hard-to-kill foe made his own scarab, only to lose it to the hero at the end of the duel (ALONG with his life... again). To ensure it could no longer be used against him, Daniel confiscated the item. This would prove to be a good idea as months later, Atum-Set returned... and managed to abduct Mr. Scarab. But his girlfriend Patsy Bromwell came to his rescue... having gotten ahold of the duplicate artifact. Afterwards, the two decided to become a team.

The two would become members (about a year apart) of the Protectors soon after the War. The two would eventually marry in the 50's, soon after retiring from hero work.

Trying to help the Golden Age Angel Falls concept to grow, and found the idea of these two heroes to be interesting. Like a mixture of Hawkman (and Hawkgirl), Shazam/Captain Marvel, Blue Beetle, Bullet-Man (and Bulletgirl) and Doctor Fate. Wanted to make a sprite for , and using ideas and suggestions from him... made these. Basically a mixture of Bulletman and Bulletgirl's costumes with one of the many costume incarnations for Doctor Fate.

Used a multitude of sprite pieces. Primarily Vega (Capcom vs SNK) for Mr. Scarab and Cammy (Street Fighter Alpha), Rogue, and Morrigan for Ms. Scarab.
