Description Portal Gun modelled in Blender, rendered with the Cycles render engine and edited with GIMP.

Feedback is welcome

Rendered with 2000 samples in ~ 25 minutes

UPDATE: Completely remodelled the white shells, added a subtle vignette and a glow to the lights, as well as redoing the material.

Thanks to the good people of Reddit for the feedback, helping me to refine this image.

This is a quantum entanglement device, like the companion-cube it cannot speak, if it does speak however we ask you to disregard it's advice
If it were up to me, you would get your Cake for this model! great job, cycles really is an awesome render engine

fromreddit - AWE YEAH! looks bad ass man you could add some more details such as bolts on the little arm things, dirt or scratches and ridges on the black parts.

Good job but the white shell seems weird now, there are small dents on the corners on the bottom shell right above where one of the black finger things comes out and on the main top shell right below the blue light in the crease, the dent is visible on the right part of the top shell. Is that on purpose?
