Just pick an app to download and start experimenting! There are a lot of tutorials to help beginners. Hell, I still consider myself a beginner! I'm always learning new things!

Well, in this case, I used an Open Source app called Apophysis to create the fractal. But there are a lot of fractal applications out there, most of them are free. There is a list on the left panel of my site that links to all the free fractal programs I use and vouch for
