Is this by any chance Doctor Who - related? It looks like William Hartnell's credits beefed up and the ninth Doctor's actor was named Christopher Eccleston. Anyway, lovely work.

At first sight, this looked like a skeleton of a bird... Even if it's not that, it pleased me a lot. Good work, very complex and detailed.

Like an X-Ray picture of some very strange creature... It really looks strange, but in a nice way. oO;

You know, if you added the faces, it might not have been as nice. It would have been too much. Good work

Thank you! I might go ahead and try that idea, but I'm too busy with other projects to worry about changing this one right now

Thanks for your comment !

Reminds me of a totem pole, made of bones. Can sort of see a bird, maybe an owl head, at the top of it, and a cattle skull of some sort at the bottom.

If you were to add faces, it would serve to enhance that effect, to me anyway.

Oh nice! It'd be really freaky if you put the faces into the ovals! When I see it I keep imaging an angle soaring up into the sky...I dont know why It's really cool when you have time I def think you should add those faces

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sya In reply to ACampion [2004-08-04 16:09:46 +0000 UTC]

you know... I think I just might. It's going to be a huge project though... but I've already started collecting stock faces.

Thanks for the encouragement!

oh! but it would be so cool to see what you had in mind..
i could see the faces there before i got down to reading your description, and i'm wondering how close my vision was to yours..
hmmm..
anyways.. sometimes i feel quite ignorant of things, but i'm gonna ask anyway and risk being laughed at
who's eccleston?

that being asked, i'm now going to do a search

wonderful flame, even without the faces

Sya In reply to onebadpenny [2004-08-04 13:00:34 +0000 UTC]

Heh, we are on the same wavelength sometimes, I swear it.

Christopher Eccleston played the husband to Nicole Kidman's character in the movie "The Others". I just saw that movie and his name was fresh in my head when I was trying to find a title for this piece. There isn't really any connection, other than the fact that both the image and Eccleston have stange angles and deep sockets.

You know, I really cannot remember, like I said, it's been sitting in a folder on my machine for a little while, so I can't remember what specs. I didn't use a script or anything, I just screwed with the triangles until I was happy! Thanks for commenting

Nice flame.
you know what's weird....when i saw the thumbnail i knew it was an Apophysis work.

heh..yeah i've been using apophysis for a few weeks now and i can asya that it's a good program except that when i have a good pic, there's not much i can do to it, save a method that i made of putting few morphed layers set to screen over the orignal.

depending on how you do it, it can look like hair, nebula, or a 3d absract.

but yeah...none of my flame works are in my galli, heh.
i had to leave for boston before i could upload them.

if you want i can send you a note when they're there.

Yeah, Apophysis is a lot of fun, I'm a total addict, I admit. I am an admin for the Apophysis group here at DA... Check us out, you might want to consider joining after you've had an opportunity to post your flames!

I would love to see them, so please do note me when they are up.
