Description
I don't know about you, but I hate winter. The only good thing about winter in Michigan are the holidays... then it's 2 or 3 more months of crappy cold, ice, snow, slush, salt, and the flu.So this is the first in a series I've been doing of fractals combined with flowers. For some reason, they just seem to go so well together.
2 [link] 3 [link] and 4 [link] in the series.
Apo and stock

what a good idea to mix fractals with flowers! It makes for a nice outcome!

Me personally I love winter, I much prefer it to the warmer seasons. But this is possibly because the winters here are far less harsh than your own, and due to the sports I play. I live for football (as in soccer) and skiing, both of which are winter sports...
But even so if I had the option of a beach holiday in Hawaii or a skiing holiday in Switzerland/Austria I would take the skiing every single time...
But I have to admit a Michigan winter does not sound to apetising...

Kinda disappointed. When I saw the thumb in the gallery, my first thought was "Dang, that's one killer fractal. How'd she get a flame to look like that?" After the full view, it's just a pretty photograph with a fractal overlaid onto it. From an artistic viewpoint, it's a great piece, but being in the fractal gallery, that's how I first approached this image.

Ah, you've got a point there. I didn't really know where I should submit it, so I submitted some to Photo manips and others to fractals... oh well.

that's beautiful... such a pleasant color.
winter is terrible in the cities, but when you head out to the mountains (like i am right now) it is absolutely breathtaking.
but i agree, i could do with a shorter winter, but i still want winter to be around, it provides a nice change...

It is no fun ... the snow is pretty for about 2 hours, then, I wish it would go away
