P E R S O N A L I T Y
Alex is relatively laid-back in character and isn’t easily provoked. He isn’t one to take things personally, and generally assumes others don’t as well, which causes him to come across as rather insensitive. That wouldn’t be a lie though, he tends to have only his best interests in mind and constantly puts his well-being before others. He could be described as apathetic and selfish, not caring much about how his actions might affect others. That being said, he’s not a reliable ally and may even be considered disloyal. He answers to the highest bidder and is very easily bribed if a better offer comes along. Because of his concern with self-preservation, he is independent and extremely capable of handling himself in difficult situations. He has learned to be adaptable and quick-witted, which has taught him how to improvise more often than not. He tends to be over confident in his abilities at times, which can get him into situations he could have otherwise avoided had he been more cautious. Despite his rather narcissistic and self-centered behavior however, he is rather insightful and understands the world is bigger than himself and self-sacrifice is necessary at times.

P H Y S I C A L D E S C R I P T I O N
Alex stands at 6’1” and 143lbs, with a lean, sinewy build. His body type borders between mesomorph and ectomorph, leaning towards the latter. For what he lacks in muscle mass, he makes up with speed and flexibility. He is of hispanic ethnicity and has a natural tan; though his skin borders on being ashy and lacking in saturation. He has a messy undercut/mohawk, his hairline extending down the nape of his neck. His hair is a dark, ashy brown, with optional red hair dye in his bangs. His tail is the same color as his hair, and extends from the base of his spine, near his hips, and is roughly 4’ in length. His facial structure is thin and defined, with a short, scruffy beard that could be described more as stubble. His eyes are heavy lidded, with almost constant under-eye bags, and bright crimson irides and cat-like pupils. He has extremely expressive eyebrows. He sports a double set of canines and sharper molars, as well as a forked tongue. He is normally seen wearing dark and neutral colors, cargo pants, t-shirts, and athletic shoes or boots. He also has small, 2g plugs in his ears which are always worn.

M U T A T I O N S
EYES - Alex is primarily nocturnal, so his eyes are built to see in the dark. He has vertical pupils and deuteranopia (red/green colorblindness due to the lack of green cone receptors in the eyes). Since color isn’t needed to see well in the dark, his color vision has been reduced to desaturated browns and blues. His eyes are extremely sensitive to bright light, and relies greatly on movement to see well during the day.
MOUTH - He has a double set of canines, which act as more of a threat display than serve any actual purpose; though, he has been known to bite when he’s in a pinch. He also has a forked tongue, which is highly sensitive to certain smells.
SENSES - His hearing and sense of smell are slightly above average for a human. He can hear frequencies beyond that of the normal hearing range of a human, not distance. His sense of smell is also slightly enhanced, thanks to his tongue, which can sense dangerous chemicals in the air, and other strong scents.
BODY - He has a higher than normal body temperature, resting at a steady 101.5 degrees fahrenheit. This allows allows him to tolerate much colder temperatures, but he also becomes overheated easily in temperatures above 70F.
TAIL - His tail is extremely sensitive and delicate. Grabbing it won’t do much harm, however it’s uncomfortable and will likely agitate him. Pulling on it could lead to serious injury though, possibly causing a break or nerve damage. He often wraps it around his torso to keep it hidden and out of the way of possible injuries. The only time he has it out is if he needs the extra balance or he’s not wearing a shirt or sleeping.

F A M I L Y
JAX is Alex’s older brother by four years. They were incredibly close as children, but grew apart as they aged and chose to follow different paths. They still keep in contact, but don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things.
RICKI is Alex’s cousin, and one of the few people Alex knows from his father’s side of the family. They’re relatively close, and spend time together when they can.

F R I E N D S
ABBY is a close friend to Alex. They met under rather inconvenient circumstances, and helped each through a rough time in their lives. They work together and always have each other’s backs.
