She looks so cool! I had no idea who Android 18 was so I had to look her up. I love seeing characters that are usually in a different style redrawn, and your interpretation seems to be perfect for her! And much more beautiful!

Not to be repetitive but... wow!!
Makes me regret never getting into DBZ now, she looks so confident and badass in your portrait! I swear you're defying probability by getting better at rendering hair too, those loose strands and highlights are just incredible; even the movement looks so natural, I feel like android 18 is the cover girl for a shampoo campaign haha.
But the part that most catched my eye was how vibrant the colors were, blue is one of my favorite colors and the fact that you rocked a blue based color palette makes this an instant fave of mine amongst your work, although that may be a bit of a shallow statement considering I adore all of your work so much
but also I couldn't leave without mentioning the lighting in this, because I'm obsessed with dramatic lighting and the way you utilized different shades of it to accentuate the different parts of her silhouette looks a-ma-zing

I think the palette ended up being my favorite in the end too - and I REALLY tried to get some vibrancy by adding different blues. I'm so glad that you like it, and so happy that you think I'm improving. I've been feeling in a slight rut but that just really inspires me to keep going. <3

Aww, no need to thank me Syl!! I'm a bit of a fan of especulating and just writing whatever I'm thinking about while looking at art, so my comments tend to have a lenght problem
And I noticed that! I'm a big fan of the contrast you achieved while still using hues of the same color, I think the end result reminded me of a burst of flames surrounded by smoke (similar to wildfire perhaps?) and I think that's a very interesting idea for a background, as if Android 18 was emerging from them. And in my opinion you're doing great, it's hard to think you could improve on your already flawless art but here we are!
