Our next redesign is the Pinata Demon from the 2002 movie, Pinata: Survival Island! Now this is a strange one for me, it's one of the modern ones that I just really wanted to include as I've always had a strange fascination with this movie despite never seeing it myself. The whole concept was so strange that I just couldn't help but love it for what it was, and I loved the flying form of the Pinata, even if the effects are awful. However, when the number for this one was drawn, I had next to no ideas on what to do with it. But when I kind of thought about how the pinata wasn't really much of a pinata at all, was when things came together.

Instead, as it was more of a statue, I decided that that was what mine would be. So I looked up some demon statues and came upon a few from the Balinese culture. This was what inspired my take and allowed me to move forward with the design. So this large change thus necessitated the location of the movie changed as well, though the basic concept was still there. After that, I simply redesigned the regular form and the demonic form to look more like Balinese demon statues, with the later form having the darkness within leaking out. For the flying form, I decided that would be when the demon breaks free in the finale, which I made a shadowy monster with multiple red eyes, based a little off my Abyssals in form, hence why it could fit in well with their mythos.

While this was one of the toughest to tackle, the end result is another that can be added to my favorites from this project~!
