"You don't think that they used one of the Hunters as a host?...Do you?"

Unbeknownst to all but the Elites, the outbreak of Xenomorphs on LV-682 was caused by a rogue faction of Yautja Hunters. They had stolen an ancient Queen from one of the Yautja breeding planets and took it to LV-682 after initial scouting parties reported on the deadliness of the planet's fauna. In their attempts to create even more dangerous Xenomorphs to hunt, they awoke something ancient and far more deadly than they could imagine.

Upon their arrival, the Queen seemed abnormally anxious, screeching up a storm within their cargo hold. The Yautja chalked it up to her knowing that she was about to regain her freedom. They then landed and released her from her captivity, but she initially refused to exit before suddenly jerking her head and screeching. With that, she sprinted off into the jungle. The Yautja then took off to orbit, allowing a few days to pass before they returned for the hunt.

When the time came, they scanned the planet, tracking the Queen to an ancient temple, which they assumed to be of Engineer origin. The Hunters paused at this, questioning why the Makers would have come here. But when they finally set out to begin they hunt, they soon learned it was not a temple, but a prison. One by one they were overtaken by a new breed of Xenomorph, and brought forth into the Queen's chamber. Here they witnessed the truth, as an almighty Xenomorph stepped forth from the shadows and impregnated the Queen once more. The Hunters were cocooned before her, helpless as they joined the King's army.

Much like the regular breeds of Predalien, the Reaver Predaliens are taller, faster and stronger than their human-borne counterparts making them one of the most powerful and dangerous breeds of Reaver encountered by humanity or the Yautja. Even more concerning is that they are able to cloak as well, using a biological process that averts light away from them, hiding them between the light and making an already horribly stealthy creature near undetectable.

Only 4 Predaliens were encountered within the hive.
