Our next creature is another pretty famous one, that being 1959's The Tingler! This one of those redesigns that just came together really easily since it's another where I just chose to modernize the original rather than fully revamp it. The original creature is such a classic, simple and striking design that I really didn't want to drastically change anything. Plus, I have plenty of my own takes on similar creatures with even more in the future, so why not let an OG shine?

For what little I did change, I mostly just leaned into the real life animal most like the Tingler. As Bogleech noted in his reviews of many of these creatures, the Tingler looks almost identical to a Velvet Worm, so that's what I went to for inspiration. This mainly resulted in me lengthening the antennae, cribbing the colors and texture from various velvet worm species and then adding a flower petal-like mouth with multiple little tongues. Nothing major, but it looks really nice~! This one could be a fit for TriZen, but I'd need to rework the plot and their function. Perhaps they're attracted to fear instead?
