Another more uncommon form of the Tormented are entities most commonly referred to as Dreamers. Acting more like obstacles than any of the more mobile Hunters, Dreamers are often found occupying the center of larger, more open rooms. They are utterly immobile, other than the soft, rhythmic spinning of the obelisk they are impaled on. When at rest, the Dreamers are silent, sleeping peacefully as their brains are filled with calming, soothing dreams. As soon as a noise awakens them though, they are brought back to the real world, flooded by agonizing pain as violent images race through their mind. In this state, the Dreamers begin to flail and screech in a desperate effort to return to sleep. In response, the portals alongside the obelisk begin extruding various phantasmagorical limbs which will seek out anything making noise and tear it to shreds so the Dreamers may return to their slumber. Best to exercise stealth when encountering these tortured beings.
